Shipment and arrest
The cannabis, divided into 30 packages totaling approximately 15kg, arrived on May 19, 2025, at a private company in Larnaca, prompting intervention by the drug enforcement agency. The defendant, identified as the intended recipient, collected the package on May 25, 2025, and was arrested.
Defendant’s testimony
During his testimony, he said he came to Cyprus to receive the drugs and deliver them to unknown individuals for €1,000 per delivery, citing financial difficulties as the reason for acting as an intermediary.
