Larnaca, Cyprus. The trial of a 22-year-old accused of attempted murder has been postponed to May 4 at 9am due to the court’s workload. The defendant appeared before the Larnaca criminal court on Wednesday under tight security.
Charges and plea
At a prior hearing, the defendant pleaded not guilty to nine charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
Arrest and items seized
The 22-year-old was arrested on November 17, 2025, after he allegedly confessed to attempting an attack on another individual. Police seized a 9mm pistol, ammunition, two masks and four mobile phones during a search of his home.
Video evidence
Videos from his phone showed him tracking the victim after the attempted attack, recording locations and making voice notes.
Alleged incident
The attempted murder took place shortly after 11am on July 31, 2025, as the businessman cycled from the Dromolaxia industrial area to the Krasa area.
