Larnaca Festival announces seven-event programme for its 41st edition in July 2026

Larnaca, Cyprus. The 41st Larnaca Festival will take place from July 5 to 30, 2026, with seven events scheduled across the month. The programme will feature music, dance and theatre performances at the Pattihio Municipal Amphitheatre and the Archaeological Site of Ancient Kition under the theme Rhythm of Skala.


Festival programme

The festival will open on July 5 with a concert tribute to Stavros Xarhakos at the Pattihio Municipal Amphitheatre at 8.30pm. The performance will feature the Larnaca Music School Mikis Theodorakis and Kostas Makedonas.

On July 7, the Larnaca Municipal Vocal Ensemble and the Larnaca Municipal Children’s Choir will present In a Common Spectacle.

A troupe from Aarhus, Denmark, will perform The Flying Superkids of Denmark at Pattihio on July 9. The acrobatic and dance show will combine performing arts and storytelling.

Later events

Greek singer Yiannis Kotsiras will perform on July 16 at 9pm as part of a concert marking 30 years in the music industry.

The Cyprus Theatre Organisation will stage its production of Euripides’ Ion at Pattihio on July 22 at 9pm.

On July 24, the festival will move to the Archaeological Site of Ancient Kition for Endless Night, performed by the Mikis Theodorakis Popular Orchestra. The concert will pay tribute to composer Mikis Theodorakis through the poetry of Odysseas Elytis and George Seferis.

Closing performances

The festival will conclude with two performances by the Sofia National Opera Ballet in Larnaca on July 29 and 30. The company will present the ballet Zorba the Greek.
