Larnaka Cinema Society to continue July open-air screenings at Pierides Museum courtyard

Larnaca, Cyprus. Larnaka Cinema Society will continue its weekly open-air screenings at the Pierides Museum courtyard every Tuesday night in July. Three films from world cinema remain on the programme this month, all to be shown in their original language with Greek subtitles.


July programme

The next screening, on July 14, is the Spanish social comedy Stories Not to Be Told (Historias para no contar). The film presents five stories in which lovers, friends and acquaintances reveal both major and minor truths in their lives.

On July 21, the society will screen the 2023 biographical drama The Great Escaper. Based on a true story, the film follows an 89-year-old British World War veteran who leaves his nursing home to attend the 70th anniversary D-Day commemorations in France. It stars Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson.

The final screening of the month, on July 28, is the French romantic comedy Amélie. The film centres on Amélie Poulain, played by Audrey Tautou.

Venue and admission

All screenings will take place at the Pierides Museum courtyard in Larnaca at 8.30pm. Admission is free.
