Larnaca, Cyprus. Larnaka Talks and Michalis Kalopaidis will host an open discussion on Larnaca’s environmental challenges on February 17 at the Larnaca House of Letters and Arts.
Event focus and format
The session, titled “Larnaca and Environment,” will examine environmental problems facing the city and measures that could be taken to improve living standards in Larnaca. It is the fourth open discussion organised by the initiative, which introduces a new topic each month for expert discussion before opening the floor to audience members.
Speakers and coordination
Speakers will include Coastal Engineer and President of the AKTI Studies and Research Centre Dr Xenia Loizidou, Director of BirdLife Cyprus Melpo Apostolidou, and Programme Officer of Friends of the Earth Cyprus Natasa Ioannou. The discussion will be coordinated by Kalopaidis.
Time, language and admission
The talk is scheduled to run from 7.30pm to 8.45pm, will be held in Greek, and will have free admission.
