Limassol, Cyprus. The 21st Lemesos International Documentary Festival will take place from August 1 to 8 at Ceronia Hall of the Lanitis Carob Mill, presenting 21 international and Cypriot film productions making their Cyprus premieres.
The festival programme will also include discussions with filmmakers, live music events, performances, DJ sets and open-air parties near Limassol’s Medieval Castle.
Documentary programme
Organisers said the festival will present documentaries focused on real-life stories, human portraits and the human condition, including films that examine contemporary challenges and the absurdities of life.
The festival said it remains committed to documentary filmmaking as images and information are increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, social media content and manipulation.
Programme and events
The full screening programme and parallel events are expected to be announced on the festival website, www.filmfestival.com.cy.
The event will run for one week and include film screenings, Cyprus premieres, filmmaker discussions and social events.
