Limassol, Cyprus. A 56-year-old man was remanded for three days by the Limassol district court on Monday after a 68-year-old was stabbed in a road rage incident.
Incident and injuries
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when the 68-year-old, who was sitting in his parked car, became involved in a verbal altercation with a 22-year-old woman driving another vehicle. During the argument, the woman’s passenger reportedly exited the car and attacked the 68-year-old with a knife.
The victim was taken by ambulance to a Limassol hospital, where he was treated and later discharged.
Arrests and court proceedings
The 22-year-old driver was arrested on Sunday and, after being charged in writing, was released to be summoned to court at a later stage.
The 56-year-old passenger was also arrested on Sunday for causing injury.
