Limassol, Cyprus. Limassol district local government organisation (EOA) president Yiannis Tsouloftas visited DP World facilities at Limassol port and was briefed on operations. He said all activities are continuing without disruption despite recent regional tensions.
Briefing at DP World Cyprus
Tsouloftas was informed about the current situation by Simon Pitout, chief executive officer of DP World Cyprus, and Doros Arestis, public relations director. The visit focused on assessing the status of port operations and maritime activity at the port.
Operations described as normal
Following the briefing, Tsouloftas said all port operations were continuing normally, even amid recent unrest in the wider region. “Despite the recent disturbances in the region, it is confirmed that all port operations continue normally and without interruption and that the port is fully staffed and operating under normal conditions for all commercial and shipping activities,” he said.
Reference to European partners
Tsouloftas also referred to the role of European partners in supporting the sector. “We appreciate the continued support from our European partners and remain committed to ensuring the safety and efficiency of shipping and port activities in Cyprus,” he said.
