Limassol police issue arrest warrant for mother in alleged infant assault case

Limassol, Cyprus. Police issued an arrest warrant for a 35-year-old mother in Limassol as part of an investigation into alleged child assault, following a complaint by the infant’s father. The infant was examined at Limassol general hospital and later discharged.

According to police statements, the father reported that during an argument the woman shook their infant and threw him on the couch, leaving the child distressed.

Officers responded and took the infant to Limassol general hospital for examination. The child was kept under precautionary observation before being discharged on Monday. The infant is now in the care of the father.
