Limassol, Cyprus. A 39-year-old was arrested on Sunday after allegedly threatening and robbing a 16-year-old with a knife and attacking two police officers in Limassol.
Incident and arrest
Police said they were informed of a robbery at a kiosk in Limassol at around 2.45pm and encountered the 39-year-old man attacking the 16-year-old teenager. Officers intervened and were allegedly attacked by the suspect, who was arrested for flagrant offences.
Search and evidence
Police said a later search found the suspect in possession of a switchblade knife and a mobile phone, which he allegedly admitted taking from the minor under threat of a knife.
Custody and court
The man was taken into custody and is expected to appear in court later in the day.
