Xylofagou, Cyprus. A man died after being run over by a passing vehicle while attempting to change his car tyre in the emergency lane on a highway near Xylofagou on Friday evening. Bases police said the incident happened at 9:45pm.
Road closure and arrest
Bases police said the road remained closed until 1am on Saturday morning. The driver of the passing vehicle has been arrested.

Police said investigations into the case are continuing.
