Yeroskipou, Cyprus. A 39-year-old man from Paphos was hospitalised after being knocked off his motorcycle by a car driven by a 35-year-old woman, police said on Friday.
Collision and injuries
Police said the incident occurred at around 12.15pm in the village of Yeroskipou. The man sustained serious injuries to his head and right arm.
Hospital treatment
He was taken by ambulance to Paphos general hospital, where he remains under observation. Doctors described his condition as serious but out of danger.
The woman was also taken to Paphos general hospital, where she received first aid and was later discharged.
Investigation
Police said an investigation into the collision has been launched.
