Netanyahu urges foreign leaders to back Israel and US against Iran amid escalating confrontation

Jerusalem, Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged foreign leaders to align with Israel and the United States against Iran, saying the confrontation with Tehran was escalating and international reactions had been restrained.

Appeal for broader international backing

Speaking on Saturday, Netanyahu said some countries were beginning to move toward more active support for action against the Iranian regime. He directed part of his appeal at European leaders, arguing that Iran posed a threat beyond the Middle East.

Claims of threats extending into Europe

Netanyahu said Iran had the ability to reach deep into Europe and claimed it had already opened fire on European countries, including Cyprus. “They are putting everyone in their sights,” he said.

Escalating military operations and accusations against Tehran

Netanyahu’s comments came amid intense military operations involving Israel, the United States and Iran, including continued air strikes, counter-attacks and rising regional tension. He claimed Iran had endangered the entire planet over the previous 48 hours and accused Tehran of targeting civilians.

Allegations involving holy sites and missile strike

Netanyahu said Iran had targeted holy sites of three religions in Jerusalem and claimed it had fired a ballistic missile at Diego Garcia, which he said was 4,000 kilometres away.

Strait of Hormuz and call to stop Iran

He accused Iran of trying to blackmail the world through the Strait of Hormuz and said more countries should openly align themselves with Israel and the United States. “What proof do you need that this regime, which threatens the whole world, must be stopped?” he said.

How do you think foreign leaders should respond to Netanyahu’s call for greater alignment against Iran?
