Jerusalem, Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Tehran on Sunday that Israel would strike “thousands of targets” belonging to the Iranian “regime” in the coming days. The Israel Defense Forces later said Israeli strikes had destroyed about half of Iran’s surface-to-surface missile stockpile.

In a video message posted on X, Netanyahu also addressed the Iranian people directly, urging them: “Do not let this opportunity go to waste,” referring to current instability following the death of the Ayatollah.
IDF operational update
At 1:08 PM, military spokesperson Brigadier General Efi Defrin said Israeli strikes had destroyed approximately half of Iran’s surface-to-surface missile stockpile.
“During the operation, we destroyed about half of the Iranian regime’s missile stocks and prevented the production of at least 1,500 additional missiles,” Defrin said in a televised address. He added that prior to the strikes, the Islamic Republic had been producing dozens of ground-to-ground missiles every month.
