Nicosia, Cyprus. Nine individuals were arrested during overnight police operations across Cyprus for offences including theft, drugs and illegal residence in the Republic. Police also conducted extensive vehicle, person and establishment checks, resulting in hundreds of reports.
Police operations
Police stopped 602 vehicles and checked 741 drivers and passengers during the overnight operations.
Reports filed
A total of 249 reports were filed, including 92 for speeding and one for driving under the influence of drugs.
Establishment raids
Police also raided 40 establishments as part of efforts to crack down on criminal activity and filed one report.
