Noverna poll shows Disy and Akel neck and neck as undecided voters near 29%

Nicosia, Cyprus. Nearly one in three voters remain undecided ahead of upcoming parliamentary elections, according to the second Noverna poll conducted for Politis. The survey places Disy narrowly ahead of Akel, with the gap within the margin of error.

Poll results and party standings

The poll shows Disy at 16.1 per cent and Akel at 15.9 per cent, a difference that falls within the margin of statistical error, leaving the contest for first place open.

Elam ranks third with 9.6 per cent of the total sample, maintaining support in high single digits.

Undecided voters and electoral volatility

The poll’s most notable finding is the share of undecided voters, which stands at 28.5 per cent of respondents.

Speaking to Politis radio, Politis director-general Dionysis Dionysiou said the figure points to a highly volatile electoral environment. “Almost one in three voters declares themselves troubled and has not yet reached a political choice,” he said.

Trends among large and small parties

Dionysiou said the data shows limited movement among the largest parties but increased activity among smaller political formations.

“Compared to the previous measurement there are no dramatic changes in the parties’ percentages, but small parties are showing marginal gains while the number of undecided voters has increased,” he said.

The results indicate that Disy and Akel retain relatively stable cores of support, although neither has significantly expanded its influence.
