Older drivers in Cyprus will be sent for medical examination

Older drivers in Cyprus will be sent for medical examination
The Ministry of Transport has already drafted a corresponding bill. According to the document, drivers older than 70 years are required to undergo a medical examination once a year. And drivers from 75 years will be obliged to pass a series of special tests. Only so, older drivers can extend the validity of their driving licenses.
Note that the topic of strict control over the health of drivers in Cyprus has been brewing for a long time. Accidents on the island have recently become more frequent, in which elderly people are guilty. For example, last week such an accident led to the death of a 33-year-old cyclist. At the wheel of the car was a 76-year-old driver.
