Kato Polemidia, Cyprus. Two cars in Kato Polemidia and a lorry in Moni caught fire overnight, causing extensive damage. Police said investigations are continuing into the causes of both incidents.
Kato Polemidia fire
According to police, the two car fires in Kato Polemidia were reported at around 4am. One vehicle belongs to a 52-year-old man, while the other is registered to the man’s company.
Both cars were extensively damaged.
Moni lorry fire
In Moni, a lorry parked in an open space caught fire at around 1.30am. The fire completely destroyed the vehicle’s cabin.
Emergency response and investigation
Both fires were extinguished by the fire brigade. Police cordoned off both areas and are continuing investigations into the cause of the fires.
