Paphos tourism board targets German market at ITB Berlin as flight links expand

Berlin, Germany. The Paphos Regional Tourism Board (Etap) is stepping up efforts to deepen its presence in the German market by participating in ITB Berlin from March 3 to 5. The move comes as regular and charter flight schedules from Germany to Paphos expand for the summer 2026 season.

Expanded air connections from Germany

Etap said three weekly inbound flights from Munich operated by Lufthansa are expected to serve Paphos, alongside nine weekly connections from major German airports by Ryanair, in addition to several charter services. The new routes are set to strengthen connectivity with a significant Central European outbound market and add capacity for inbound tourism during the peak season.

Promotion within Cyprus national pavilion

During the exhibition, Etap Paphos is participating within the Cyprus national pavilion, where it is showcasing the region’s tourism offering. The promotion focuses on Paphos’ culture and history, natural landscapes and rural experiences, as well as sports, active tourism and local gastronomy.

Meetings and partnerships

Etap representatives are holding meetings with tourism professionals aimed at forming new partnerships and reinforcing Paphos’ positioning in the German market. The board and three small and medium-sized enterprises from the district are also taking part in meetings and presentations organised by an Italian partner under the COSME for SMEs programme.

Broader strategy

Etap said its participation in ITB Berlin is part of a wider strategy to promote Paphos more actively abroad, attract visitors year-round, and strengthen its image as a modern, high-quality destination for the German market.
