Larnaca, Cyprus. Police have identified the driver involved in a motorway hit-and-run in Larnaca last week in which a 65-year-old was struck and carried on the bonnet of a car. An arrest warrant has been issued, police said.
Identification and arrest warrant
Police spokesman Vyron Vyronos told state TV that the driver has been identified and an arrest warrant has been issued.
Vehicle located for examination
Police also found the vehicle seen in a video posted on social media and said it would be examined.
Incident on May 6
The incident happened on May 6 on the motorway from Rizoelia to Kalo Chorio, when the 65-year-old approached a car following an accident to obtain details. The other driver fled the scene after a police patrol car arrived, hitting the 65-year-old.
Injuries reported
Further down the motorway, the 65-year-old fell off the bonnet and suffered bruising and grazes.
