Nicosia, Cyprus. Police recovered a large amount of stolen property during a search in Nicosia on Tuesday night, linked to a gang involved in a series of burglaries and thefts. Three suspects have been remanded for eight days as investigations continue.

Police said the residence in Nicosia, where the loot was found, was being used by one of the suspects.
Officers seized jewellery, designer handbags, perfumes, cash and numerous other items during the search.
Suspects and investigation
The suspects, two 48-year-olds and a 38-year-old, were remanded for eight days to facilitate the ongoing investigation.
Limassol deputy police director Lefteris Kyriakou said the suspects had been using specialised burglary tools to break into homes and had been monitoring specific targets and areas with cameras.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and authorities are assessing the full extent of the stolen property.
