Prices for medicines will drop on 15th of March
For the middle of March, the price for certain medications which are sold in the pharmacies will be reduced as part of the annual revision of prices. According to the deputy head of the medication price setting sector Mr. Panos Mitides, the price will be reduced by 9% and will affect 700 items.
Those are, mostly, antibiotics and medicines for the nervous and cardiovascular systems. The new prices will affect only prescription drugs.
According to CypLive, the decrease of certain items in reality will only be few cents, whereas for others it will be dozens of Euros.
The new pricelist will enter into force on 15th of March.
