Nicosia, Cyprus. Prozak Kafeneio will host an April Fool’s Day-themed Open Mic Night on April 1, focusing on stories about lies. The event invites performers of all levels and styles to take part.
Event theme and performances
The Open Mic Night: Lies event welcomes music, song, spoken word, poetry, rap, stand-up comedy and other performance formats. Organisers said the night’s theme draws on everyday experiences of lying and invites participants to “lie through our teeth” to mark April Fool’s Day.
Participation rules and host
Organisers said performers may present original work in any language, with a maximum duration of five minutes, and must show respect to others. Paul C Hunt will host the evening, warming up the crowd and introducing performers.

The event will take place at Prozak Kafeneio in Nicosia on April 1 at 8pm.
