Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus’ interior ministry said a public consultation on draft amendments to legislation regulating petrol stations is available through the online e-Consultation platform.
Scope of the draft bill
The bill aims to set out a distinct framework of responsibilities between local authorities and district governments for the construction, reconstruction, operation, and demolition of petrol stations.
Allocation of responsibilities
The draft includes a clearer distinction of responsibilities, making the municipality responsible when a petrol station is located within municipal boundaries, or the relevant village council when it is within its boundaries.
Public feedback deadline
The ministry called on the public to submit comments electronically via the e-Consultation platform by Friday, May 15.
Will you submit feedback on the draft amendments through the e-Consultation platform before May 15?
