Nicosia, Cyprus. Seven teenagers were involved in a road traffic collision in the Nicosia suburb of Pallouriotissa in the early hours of Saturday morning, police said. A 16-year-old boy was driving when he lost control, causing the car to overturn after hitting a metal fence.
Crash details
Police said the vehicle overturned and came to a halt after colliding with a metal fence. Officers who arrived at the scene found that the 16-year-old driver, along with two boys aged 17 and 15 and two girls aged 17 and 15, required hospital treatment.
Medical treatment
All five teenagers were taken to Nicosia general hospital, police said. Four of those admitted were later discharged, while the 15-year-old boy remains under observation at Makarios children’s hospital.
Investigation
Police said they believe the vehicle belongs to the company owned by the 16-year-old’s father and are investigating the circumstances under which the teenager took possession of it.
