Nicosia, Cyprus. Police arrested six people overnight for offences including illegal possession of drugs, burglaries and theft, drink driving and speeding during operations targeting crime. Officers stopped 374 vehicles and reported 95 people for traffic offences.

Drivers to appear in court

Two drivers arrested for speeding are due to appear in court on Tuesday.

One was a 25-year-old woman who was caught at 11pm driving at 200km per hour on the Limassol-Nicosia motorway near GSP stadium.

The other was a 31-year-old man who was caught at 2.20am on Tuesday driving at 195km per hour on the same motorway near Nisou.

Inspections of establishments

Police also inspected 27 establishments.
