The latest study shows that from 35% to 40% of the boys in Cyprus aged 15-18 years are already smoking cigarettes. Among the girls the number is quite high as well – 25 % of the girls have the bad habit.
The data was acquired during the “Public Healthcare” research, which was made in the Cyprus Technological Institute.
The research aimed also to find about the mean life expectancy. It was discovered that strangely enough, Cypriots, who live in the cities live longer, than those, who live in rural areas. Even the researchers themselves were quite surprised with this outcome.
