Taxi drivers are planning another strike on the New Year’s Eve

The taxi drivers in Cyprus are planning to conduct a strike before the New Year celebrations. The protest will take place on the 30th of December from 07:00 until 11:00. This is how the taxi drivers are planning to express their concerns with omissions of the government in the matters of unfair competition.

Drivers also insist on the creation of additional  parking places, introduction of compensations and subsidies for the taxis.

The decision to conduct the strike was made on the Pancyprian Coordination Committee of city taxis in Chirokitya.
