Nicosia, Cyprus. TechIsland on Thursday announced the launch of the TechIsland TechPro Community powered by The Vault, a new professional community for tech experts. The initiative is aimed at supporting trusted dialogue as technology, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity increasingly shape business and society.
Community scope and participants
The TechPro Community is a professional community under the TechIsland umbrella, created for technology professionals working at the forefront of the tech and innovation sector in Cyprus.
It brings together CTOs, CIOs, CISOs, technology architects, data scientists, AI and cybersecurity specialists, DevOps and platform engineers, software developers, UX designers and digital transformation professionals.
Purpose and focus
According to the announcement, the community is intended to enable members to share insights, discuss real-world challenges and collectively explore the future of digital transformation, AI governance and emerging technologies through open dialogue, experience-sharing and collaboration across disciplines and seniority levels.
TechIsland said the TechIsland TechPro Community is designed as a trusted professional environment that prioritises substance, experience-sharing and forward-looking discussion.
Engagement format
Members will engage through a dedicated Telegram group for continuous interaction and rapid exchange of knowledge. Quarterly in-person meetups will offer deeper discussion through curated panel conversations, followed by informal networking.
Community leadership
The community will be led by Liza Charalambous, co-founder and CTO of Malloc, Christina Orfanidou, head of group AI at Columbia Group, and Ivan Sysoev, head of AI at Ecommpay.
TechIsland said the leadership team brings hands-on expertise across software engineering, AI strategy and applied innovation, with the aim of keeping discussions relevant, practical and aligned with the realities faced by senior technology professionals.
TechIsland comment
Commenting on the launch, TechIsland general manager Tanya Romanyukha said that technology professionals today play a critical role well beyond building or maintaining systems.
