Due to the shortage of spaces in refugee centers, the German authorities are looking for alternative solutions for the accommodation of the migrants. Officials are negotiating a contract worth about 600 million Euros with hotel chain “Grand City Hotels”.
The number of refugees in questions is around 10,000 people. According to the calculations, the accommodation of one refugee at the hotel will cost German taxpayers around 50 Euros per night, or 18,000 Euros per year.
The plan is to accommodate the refugees in “all inclusive” hotels. Additionally, refugees will be provided with help to facilitate their adaptation in the German society.
It is expected that the hotel chain, following the negotiations, will provide 22 hotels for the above purpose.
