Three men remanded in custody over robbery and kidnapping case in Larnaca

Larnaca, Cyprus. Three men arrested in connection with the robbery and kidnapping of a 65-year-old man were remanded in custody for six days on Wednesday after appearing before the Larnaca district court.

Police said they are investigating a case involving robbery, kidnapping, theft, assault, and causing actual bodily harm after the man reported on Monday that he had been attacked by three people.


Court remand and investigation

The three suspects appeared before the Larnaca district court on Wednesday, where they were remanded in custody for six days.

Earlier in the day, police said they were investigating allegations of robbery, kidnapping, theft, assault, and causing actual bodily harm linked to the reported attack.

Victim’s account

The 65-year-old man told police that he knew two of the three perpetrators. According to his report, one of them attacked and beat him and took €300 in cash, his mobile phone, and the keys to his car.

He said the three men then forced him into a car and drove him to his house. Once there, they entered the property, took various items from inside, loaded them into his car, and then drove off in an unknown direction.
