The income generated by the tourism industry has grown by 23% during the first two months of 2017, coming to 82 million euro.
Statistical data also shows that tourists are ready to spend more and stay less days, comparing to other years.
On average, British tourists have spent around 550 euro per person in February this year, whereas Russian tourists are ready to spend in average 650 euro.
Tourism industry is one of the main income sources for Cyprus economy. Last year alone it has generated 2 billion euro income.
