The Association of Russian Tour Operators announced that Turkey, Greece and Cyprus remain the leaders among the most popular holiday destinations for Russian tourists looking for package tours.
According to Sletat.ru web portal, in April this year the number of search requests for package tours increased by a quarter compared to the same period in 2016. Tourists also travel to Turkey more often than to the other European countries.
Overall, Turkey, Cyprus and Greece account for 29.1%, 14.9% and 8.3% respectively from the total number of Russian tourists, followed by Thailand, Russia, Tunisia, Spain, Vietnam, the UAE and Bulgaria.
