Nicosia, Cyprus. Police said two men, aged 34 and 32, were arrested on Tuesday in connection with a car theft in Nicosia. The suspects were found in a vehicle reported stolen on the morning of February 6.
Stolen car located in Nicosia
According to police, the car had been stolen while parked outside a kiosk in Nicosia. After evaluating information, police located the stolen vehicle parked in an open space in the city and found the two men in the car.
Methamphetamine found, police say
Police said the suspects were also found in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine.
Public advisory on vehicle security
Police urged the public to avoid parking vehicles in remote areas and to avoid leaving vehicles running or with keys in the ignition, even for a short time. They also advised drivers to ensure windows are closed and doors are locked before leaving their vehicles.
