Washington, United States. Two US sailors were injured after a non-combat-related fire broke out aboard the USS Gerald Ford, the US military said on Thursday.
Injuries and ship status
The military said the sailors were receiving medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and were in stable condition. It said there was no damage to the ship’s propulsion plant and that the aircraft carrier remains fully operational.

The US military said the carrier is taking part in operations against Iran and is currently located in the Red Sea.
