Doha, Qatar. Some personnel are being evacuated from the U.S. Al Udeid air base in Qatar following a co-ordinated Israeli and American assault on Iran, a source briefed on the matter told Reuters on Saturday.

About Al Udeid air base
Al Udeid, located outside the Qatari capital, is the largest U.S. military base in the Middle East, housing around 10,000 troops. It serves as the forward headquarters of U.S. Central Command and has been a critical hub for American military operations across the region.
Trump statement on Iran operations
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the United States had launched “major combat operations” in Iran, warning that American casualties were possible. Trump said the strikes were aimed at destroying Iranian missiles and annihilating its navy.
