Nicosia, Cyprus. The United Nations is launching the Through Her Lens international photography exhibition in Cyprus this month to mark International Women’s Day. The exhibition will be held at the Ledra Street crossing in Nicosia.
Exhibition and opening event
The exhibition presents photographs focusing on women as pillars and architects of peace around the world. An opening event on March 4 will introduce the exhibition to the Cypriot public, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A at the Info Shop.
Women Rising for Peace discussion
The panel discussion, titled Women Rising for Peace, will address how women are leading peace efforts, the challenges and strengths they bring, and how women’s participation in political and peacebuilding processes can be collectively supported.
Schedule and registration
The event will begin at 5 p.m. with an exhibition viewing, followed by welcoming remarks and a panel discussion at 5.30 p.m. An audience Q&A is scheduled for 6.15 p.m., with a networking reception set for 7 p.m. The event is free and open to all, with pre-registration required at https://forms.office.com/e/gcKZJXNUVk.
