Universal Golf secures planning approval for photovoltaic park on company-owned land

Limassol, Cyprus. Universal Golf Enterprises Plc said it has secured planning approval for a photovoltaic park development as part of its reassessment of land use strategy. The company said it will continue the licensing process before making a final decision.

Planning permission and strategy review

The company said the update follows its communication dated December 22, 2025, on exploring an alternative strategy for land utilisation. It said the newly obtained planning permission would allow it to proceed with the potential development of a solar energy project on land it currently owns.

Next steps in licensing process

Universal Golf Enterprises Plc said it will continue to explore the alternative strategy and further pursue the licensing process before a final decision is made on the company’s strategy.

Company background

According to company material, Universal Golf Enterprises Plc was incorporated in Cyprus in 2011 for the sole purpose of developing and operating the Limassol Hills golf resort.

What do you think the company’s planning approval could mean for its land use strategy?
