Kyiv, Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the United States and other partners have asked Ukraine to share its expertise in defending against Iranian Shahed drones. He made the remarks as the drones caused damage across the Middle East.
Requests for Ukraine’s operational experience
In his nightly video address on Wednesday, Zelenskyy said partners were asking Ukraine for help in defending against Shahed drones, citing Ukraine’s expertise and “real operational experience.” He added that requests had also come from the American side.
Prior proposals to share drone defence expertise
Zelenskyy and other Ukrainian officials have previously suggested that Kyiv could share its drone defence expertise with countries in the Middle East in exchange for their help persuading Russia to observe a ceasefire in the four-year war between Ukraine and Moscow.
How could Ukraine’s drone defence experience be shared with partners facing Shahed drone attacks?
