Police said the incident happened at around 9.15pm on Thursday on Ifigenias Avenue in Strovolos, when the 15-year-old, riding with the 17-year-old as a passenger, collided with a car driven by a 39-year-old.

The motorcycle then crashed into a parked vehicle.

Both teenagers were injured and taken to Nicosia general hospital, where the 15-year-old died from his injuries.

The 17-year-old is being treated in the intensive care unit in critical condition.
