AI Cyprus Expo to return to Limassol next April
Empactio plans to expand the AI Cyprus Expo into a regional platform for applied artificial intelligence and business collaboration.

Limassol, Cyprus. The AI Cyprus Expo will return to Limassol in April next year, as organiser Empactio seeks to develop it into a regional platform for applied artificial intelligence and business collaboration across the Eastern Mediterranean.
Expansion plans
Empactio said it aims to position Limassol as a gateway for applied AI while expanding the expo and developing its technology platform.
The company said the event is intended to bring together technology providers, businesses, startups, investors and the wider innovation ecosystem.
Founders and vision
Empactio was founded by Wassim Monzer and Briken Bufi, who did not come from the traditional events industry.
Bufi has a background in sales, operations and growth and has spent more than a decade building and training startups. He is also the founder and chief executive of Sainni AI and Aella Creative Force.
Maxim, identified as the other founder, has a background in architecture and holds an MBA. He has worked across startups, fintech and events, including as founder and chief executive of Kartatek.
The founders said they identified a gap in Cyprus, where they saw strong interest in technology, a capable ecosystem and institutional support, but no major platform focused on practical technology adoption.
“Events, for us, were simply the vehicle. The real objective was to build that platform,” they said.
First edition
The first AI Cyprus Expo was held in 2026 and brought together AI solution providers and companies from a range of industries, reflecting the growing role of AI across the Cypriot economy.
The organisers said the first event was produced by the two founders in about three months. It attracted more than 1,285 attendees, 35 exhibitors and 65 panellists across more than 22 topics, with 45 ecosystem supporters.
