Clear skies and inland temperatures up to 37C forecast for Wednesday

Nicosia, Cyprus. Wednesday will be overwhelmingly clear, with temperatures expected to reach 37C inland, 31C on the west coast, around 33C on other coastal areas and 27C in the higher mountains.

Wind and sea conditions

Winds will initially be variable and weak at 3 Beaufort, gradually turning southwesterly to northwesterly at up to 4 Beaufort. During the afternoon, winds on the south coast will temporarily strengthen to up to 5 Beaufort.

The sea will be slightly rough.

Evening forecast

The weather will remain mainly clear in the evening, although locally increased low cloud is expected at times.

Temperatures will fall to around 22C inland and on the coast, and to 14C in the higher mountains. Winds will blow northwesterly to northeasterly, while on the north coast they will be southeasterly, remaining weak at 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough.

Outlook

Thursday, Friday and Saturday are expected to be mainly clear, with occasional increased cloudiness. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged on Thursday before gradually rising slightly on Friday and Saturday.
