Cyprus industrial production rises 0.3% year on year in June

Nicosia, Cyprus. Industrial production in Cyprus increased by 0.3 per cent in June 2026 compared with the same month a year earlier, according to figures released by the Statistical Service, Cystat. The industrial production index reached 117.6 units, based on 2021=100.


First-half performance

Industrial output increased by 1.2 per cent in the first six months of 2026 compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.

Sector results

Manufacturing production rose by 0.6 per cent year on year in June, while mining and quarrying increased by 11.4 per cent.

Production in water supply and materials recovery rose by 1.5 per cent compared with June 2025. Within the sector, water collection, treatment and supply increased by 14.2 per cent, while materials recovery declined by 15.1 per cent.

Electricity supply output fell by 4 per cent over the same period.

Manufacturing activities

The strongest annual increase among manufacturing activities was recorded in other non-metallic mineral products, where production rose by 7.5 per cent.

Manufacturing of rubber and plastic products increased by 4.7 per cent. Production of wood and cork products, excluding furniture, and basic metals and fabricated metal products both rose by 2.3 per cent.

Textiles, wearing apparel and leather products recorded an increase of 0.4 per cent.
