Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus’ Industrial Turnover Index rose by 3.5 per cent year on year in June 2026 to 149.5 units, according to figures released on Friday by the statistical service Cystat.
The index also increased by 3.5 per cent during the first six months of 2026 compared with the corresponding period of 2025.

The figures use 2021 as the base year, set at 100 units. The index measures monthly turnover changes against the average monthly turnover recorded in that year.
Manufacturing performance
Manufacturing, the largest component of the index, reached 153.8 units in June, recording an annual increase of 3.6 per cent. Turnover in the sector also rose by 3.6 per cent from January to June.
Wood and products of wood and cork, excluding furniture, recorded the strongest annual increase within manufacturing, with turnover rising by 22.1 per cent in June. The category also posted the largest increase for the first half of the year, up 20.1 per cent from the same period in 2025.
Sectoral changes
Turnover in electronic and optical products and electrical equipment increased by 12.4 per cent in June. However, the category declined by 6.9 per cent over the January-to-June period, the steepest cumulative fall among manufacturing sectors.
Textiles, wearing apparel and leather products recorded an 8.1 per cent increase in June, while turnover rose by 3.2 per cent during the first six months of the year.
Basic metals and fabricated metal products rose by 7.4 per cent in June and by 9.1 per cent over the first half of 2026.
Other non-metallic mineral products recorded growth of 5.5 per cent in June, while the increase for the six-month period stood at 1.7 per cent.
