Nicosia, Cyprus. Cyprus startups have secured €112.8 million through 28 funding rounds in 2026, approaching the approximately €120m recorded in 2025 with three months left in the year, according to Dionysis Partsinevelos. He is an associate at venture capital firm 33East and an analyst at G4 Ventures.

Funding rises since May review

In an update released on Tuesday, Partsinevelos reported that another 21 rounds had been announced during the five months following his May review. Amounts were made public for 17 of those rounds, which together generated €100m.

His analysis puts the 2026 total at $131.9m and the median investment at $1m.

Omilia leads the year’s fundraising

According to Partsinevelos, Omilia secured the largest round of the year: a Series B worth $67m (€57.8m), announced on August 6, with Expedition Growth Capital leading the investment.

The analysis describes Omilia as a developer of artificial intelligence voice agents used by enterprise contact centres. Founded in Athens by Dimitris Vassos, the company now has its headquarters in Larnaca.

Partsinevelos’ records show that Omilia first received external funding in May 2020, when Grafton Capital invested $20m. Its latest financing is the fourth-largest round secured by a Cyprus-based startup in his records, which extend back to 2020.

Crowdfunding campaigns surpass targets

The update also reported that two campaigns operated by Crowdbase surpassed their fundraising targets, collecting €835,706 between them from 213 individual investors.

One of those campaigns was for Cleedee, an AI recruitment platform based in Nicosia. According to the analysis, it attracted €300,000 from 117 investors, with a pre-money valuation of approximately €1.7m, before closing on May 31.

Counting method and investment disclosure

Partsinevelos said his figures assign rounds to the date they are announced and retain each company’s reported currency. For conversions, he applies an average exchange rate for the year to date of approximately $1.16 per euro. Grants are excluded.

He also disclosed investments by 33East in four companies included in the analysis.
