Seasonally adjusted construction production fell by 1.3 per cent in the euro area and 1.0 per cent across the EU in June compared with May, according to Eurostat’s first estimate.

On an annual basis, construction production in June was 0.7 per cent lower in the euro area than a year earlier, while the EU recorded a marginal increase of 0.2 per cent.
Euro area building construction fell by 6.5 per cent compared with June 2025, while civil engineering rose by 0.3 per cent and specialised construction activities increased by 0.2 per cent.
In the EU, building construction declined by 4.9 per cent compared with June 2025. Civil engineering rose by 1.4 per cent and specialised construction activities increased by 0.5 per cent.
