Fire service called to free child’s arm trapped in metal object

Nicosia, Cyprus. The fire service was called on Sunday afternoon to free a child’s arm that had become trapped in a metal object, spokesman Andreas Kettis said.

Rescue vehicle dispatched

Kettis said fire stations in the Nicosia district dispatched a rescue vehicle to free the child’s arm from an object described as “possibly a cooking utensil”.

Child taken to hospital

With their arm still trapped, the child was transported by ambulance to the accident and emergency department at Nicosia General Hospital for treatment.
