Polystipos, Cyprus. The Funtoukoselinos 2026 music festival will take place at Parakania square in Polystipos village, in the rural Nicosia district, on August 12. The free event will feature acoustic live music in a hazelnut forest setting.

Music and night sky

The festival’s name combines the Greek words “fountouki”, meaning hazelnut, and “selini”, meaning moon.

The event coincides with a new moon and the expected peak of the Perseids meteor shower on the evening of August 12, providing a backdrop of shooting stars for the performances.

Acoustic programme

Local artists will perform without a sound system, with music blending with the natural sounds of the forest.

Oneirodromoi A.E. will headline the evening, with eight musicians presenting a programme ranging from traditional songs and Greek folk music to Greek rock, ethnic tunes, pop covers and rembetiko.

Visitor information

The festival will begin at 8.30pm at Parakania square in Polystipos. Admission is free.

Visitors are encouraged to bring jackets, blankets, chairs or stools. Coolboxes containing drinks and snacks are also permitted.
