Larnaca, Cyprus. Larnaca and Paphos airports recorded a combined 97,096 commercial flights in 2025, according to Eurostat data published on Friday. Larnaca airport accounted for 73,226 flights, while Paphos recorded 23,870.


Monthly traffic

August was the busiest month at both airports, with 8,163 commercial flights recorded at Larnaca and 2,745 at Paphos.

Flight numbers declined slightly in September, to 7,727 at Larnaca and 2,713 at Paphos.

February recorded the fewest commercial flights, with 3,387 at Larnaca airport and 905 at Paphos airport.

EU figures

Commercial flights across the European Union totalled 6.9 million in 2025, up 3.8 per cent from 6.7 million in 2024, Eurostat said. The figure forms part of an upward trend since 2021.

Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport recorded the highest number of scheduled and non-scheduled commercial flights among EU airports, at around 488,000. Paris Charles de Gaulle followed with 476,000 flights, while Frankfurt airport recorded 457,000.
