Lordos United completes €8.16 million purchase of controlling stake in P&S Carton
Lordos United has acquired 51 per cent of P&S Carton following competition clearance, entering Cyprus’ corrugated cardboard packaging market.

Nicosia, Cyprus. Lordos United Public Ltd has finalised its €8.16 million purchase of a controlling 51 per cent interest in Cypriot cardboard packaging producer P&S Carton Industries Ltd after receiving regulatory clearance.
Ownership and competition clearance
In an announcement on Thursday, Lordos United said it had purchased 35,700 P&S Carton shares under an agreement dated July 10, 2026. P&S Carton is now its subsidiary, with the sellers continuing to hold the remaining 49 per cent between them.
Completion followed clearance from the Commission for the Protection of Competition, which concluded that the concentration was compatible with competition in the market.
Expansion into cardboard packaging
The purchase adds corrugated cardboard packaging to Lordos United’s activities in Cyprus, extending a business previously focused on plastics production and packaging.
Established in Cyprus in 1991, P&S Carton produces and markets corrugated cardboard boxes and packaging for customers in industries including agriculture, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, and food and beverages.
The company was described as Cyprus’ sole domestic producer of corrugated cardboard boxes, meeting about 60 per cent of demand locally. Imports account for the balance.
Growth plans and investment
At the time the transaction was announced, Lordos United said it supported the company’s longer-term growth strategy by broadening its product range and opening opportunities for integrated packaging solutions.
Lordos United also identified possible synergies between the businesses, including the ability to offer existing clients a broader selection of packaging products.
According to Lordos United, investment planned for 2027 and 2028 in new machinery is expected to expand production capacity at P&S Carton and strengthen its competitiveness on costs.
